“e-Charge Home” – new charging offer from ADAC and E.ON

ADAC members can now get discounted wallboxes for their homes from E.ON, including advice and installation service. The challenge of home charging is, on the one hand, to find the right charging box from a wide range of options and, on the other hand, to integrate it into the home’s electrical system in the best possible way, especially if the box is to be controlled from outside.

This is important if, for example, a solar system on the house or carport roof is to be used for the charging current or if there is or is to be an energy management system for the household – keyword “smart charging”. In such cases, expert advice and installation from a single source is of great value.

The new offer for ADAC members – it is called ADAC e-Charge Home – includes discounted wallboxes and individual installation services. The portfolio ranges from entry-level models to networked wallboxes. Depending on the model, ADAC members can save up to 130 euros compared to the regular E.ON price.

“On the vehicle side, we have been supporting the expansion of electric mobility for years with leasing and financing offers for e-cars,” says Mahbod Asgari, ADAC SE Board Member. “Our joint goal with E.ON is to now also advance the expansion of the domestic charging infrastructure with affordable offers.”

“We are very pleased to support the members of Germany’s largest automobile club with comprehensive charging solutions. We will soon also be offering ADAC members the right green electricity tariffs for charging their e-cars with the Wallbox,” explains Filip Thon, CEO of E.ON Energie Deutschland GmbH.

Both partners also attach particular importance to a customer-specific design of the charging systems and an installation process that is as efficient as possible. Both online and by telephone, ADAC members have access to comprehensive advice on the wallboxes and subsidy options. For example, interested parties can use the database to find out about the current electric subsidy programmes. If desired, E.ON can also take over the complete installation of the wallbox.

An installation check leads to an offer online in just a few steps: members answer short questions about their individual living and parking situation and receive their suitable offer online. Nothing more than a metre gauge and a few minutes of time are required for the online check. The installation service includes, among other things, the obligatory registration with the distribution network operator, the delivery of all necessary materials, the connection to the house connection and the laying of the line along the entire route – an all-round package, also with a price advantage for ADAC members.
