Bachgold: Adventure and Responsibility

By the editorial team·21. July 2026·2 min read

Behind Bachgold® are the two passionate outdoor enthusiasts Jerome and Laurenz from Switzerland, who have translated their sense of adventure into the development of an innovative product.

Their vision is to give people the opportunity to experience nature without having to worry about clean drinking water.

Since the first product idea in October 2020, Bachgold® has been continuously developing: From a successful start on Amazon to its own online shop and expansion into the USA. Today, Bachgold® is represented on leading platforms such as Otto and Decathlon, and is now also available in the entire European retail trade and on the Zanier online shop through the Tiroler Handschuhspezialisten Zanier.

Outdoor water filter: Clean drinking water everywhere

For an attractive price, nature lovers can obtain the Bachgold® outdoor water filter, which makes water from natural sources safe to drink through filtration and is ideal for hiking, camping or other outdoor activities. No need to carry water bottles, no uncertainty about water quality, no waste. Compared to conventional water filters, the patented filter system impresses with its compact design and easy handling: fill, insert, ready. Tests in independent laboratories ensure that the water filters meet the highest quality standards and function reliably. Thanks to the integrated hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane and the activated carbon filter, Bachgold® removes up to 99.999999% of bacteria, protozoa, chemicals, heavy metals and microplastics, ensuring the highest drinking water quality.

Wherever there is water in nature, the Bachgold filter, which is available in seven colors, is used.

Simple care and high durability

The Bachgold® outdoor water filter is designed for up to 1,500 liters of water to be filtered, which corresponds to approximately 2,500 applications. To maximize the lifespan, the filter element should be rinsed with clear tap water after each use and stored in a clean place. The filter is only suitable for fresh water and functions optimally at temperatures up to 40°C.

Sustainability in focus

The Swiss start-up is actively committed to non-profit projects, such as supporting Viva con Agua Schweiz. With 1% of its turnover, it also supports a drinking water project in Nepal, which enables people there to access clean water, basic sanitation and hygiene education.
