Haglöfs OBN Film Festival 2025 tours through Europe

By the editorial team·21. July 2026·2 min read

According to the Haglöfs motto "Outsiders by Nature", the film festival tours through Europe from November to January, also stopping in Munich and Innsbruck. A series of films will be shown, which address performance, reflection, and camaraderie in extreme situations in alpine terrain from different perspectives. The protagonists, brand ambassadors of Haglöfs and other members of the active outdoor community, describe key experiences and experiences in the mountains, in ice and snow, that have shaped their lives.

But it is not only the enjoyment of watching that is on offer; the authors are also present for personal exchange. They want to offer the outdoor community a forum for communication, getting to know each other, and encouraging themselves to step outside their comfort zone and get to know themselves and deepen friendships.

The films are thematically about failing in the mountains, which opens up completely new perspectives and shatters the intensely internalized values.

To overcome the fear of missing out on the big moment and not being able to post it, in a world that is under immense ecological pressure and is changing rapidly, and to gain the insight that, in light of this, even seemingly insignificant things can be very valuable.

Roman Rohrmoser: "Fear of missing winter"

To love a free life in extreme and solitary nature, despite or even because of an alpine near-death experience, which not only makes you stronger but also thoughtful and intensifies the experience.

To experience trust and friendship between three friends on a high-alpine rope team mission in the Mont Blanc area, and to learn how the community leads them beyond themselves and to new heights in extreme conditions.

And to experience setting even higher goals after a serious injury, and to defy fate in a community in the Himalayas despite many challenges and setbacks.

"We hope that these films will inspire adventure and encourage everyone to write their own outdoor stories. It is not just about watching films, but also about meeting friends, having a good time together, and creating lasting memories," says Per Jonsson, event manager at Haglöfs.

The tour will be in Munich on November 19th at Bahnwärter Thiel and in Innsbruck on November 20th at Leokino.

Tickets for the festival cost 8 euros, with all proceeds going to Protect Our Winters (POW).
